Victor Ferdinand Ortega, 42, of Lowell, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 23, 2024, after a long illness. He was Samnang Kong's companion for over 11 years.
Born on December 10, 1981, in New York City, Victor spent his childhood in New York before moving to the Lowell area. He attended the New York School for the Deaf, Fanwood, and Northern Essex Community College, where he developed many lasting friendships.
Victor was a talented, skilled artist of great wit and a dedicated employee. His love for reading comic books, playing basketball, and video games brought him immense joy. He was an avid NBA fan, following the league closely. Professionally, he contributed 14 years of service to UPS, where he was highly respected and valued.
He is survived by his siblings, William Nazario and Jessica Zavala, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Hilia Ortega and Fernando Zavala, and by his sister, Stephanie Nazario.
Victor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his beloved Sammie, his maternal aunt Paula Moreno, his family, and his friends.
Following Victor's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
