Harrison, ME- Scott M. Harnden, aged 53, passed away May 25th, 2024, at home following a courageous year-long battle with Colon cancer while surrounded by his family. He was born in Portland, ME on December 16th, 1970, to Earl & Paula Harnden.
Scott always had a passion for the outdoors, the majority of his free time was spent either in the woods or on the water. During his battle with cancer, he was able to obtain a ‘Grandslam’- a turkey, deer, moose, and bear; Something that had always been on his bucket list. He instilled his passions in his children and later his wife, but he learned everything he knew from his father Earl, and Uncle Phil.
He attended Windham High School, and after high school, he worked as a landscaper for many years. He always took pride in his work and strived for perfection.
Scott met his wife and soul mate Erica in 2014 and they wed in 2018. They’ve spent the last 10 years going on countless adventures together in the woods, on the water, down dirt roads, and wherever else he could drag her. They spent their time enjoying each other's company while always listening to music.
One of Scott’s greatest joys was being a ‘Poppy’. He loved being able to watch his grandchildren grow and learn.
He spent his last days at his home with his wife and children by his side.
Scott is predeceased by his father, Earl Harnden. He is survived by his mother Paula of Windham. His beloved wife Erica Harnden of Harrison and her children Emily Grant of Windham, Aaron Grant, and his girlfriend Danielle Beauchene of Gray.
