Nathaniel Matthews Cook, 38, passed into glory on Friday, May 24, 2024 and is now in the presence of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born in Lowell on June 28, 1985 and was a son of David E. Cook and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Matthews) Cook. His upbringing was rooted in Lowell, where he attended local schools and graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 2004. He then pursued higher education at Middlesex Community College, earning an Associate's Degree in Global Studies.
Nathaniel was a gifted musician, starting his journey as the drumline captain at Lowell High School. He went on to play the drums for various Christian bands, showcasing his talent and passion for music.
He was a man of deep faith, he was Director of Church Relations for Berra Ministries of New Hampshire. He attended the Lawrence Street Primitive Methodist Church of Lowell. Previously, he held the position of camp director for Timothy Hill Ranch Camp at Norwich Lake and served as the program director for the Mount Monadnock Bible Conference.
Nathaniel's generous spirit was evident in his constant willingness to help others and his dedication to building meaningful friendships.
In addition to his parents, David and Betty Cook of Lowell, he is survived by his brother, Robert D. Cook of Lowell; and his grandmother, Barbara M. Cook of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Donald and Judy Cook of Tewksbury; his aunt, Julie Cook of Dracut; and his cousins, Janelle and Matt Presterjohn of Pelham, NH, Kimberly and Matt Murphy of Pelham, NH, Zachary, Brian, and Michael Cook, all of Dracut.
He was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents, the late Nathaniel and Elizabeth Matthews and the late Robert E. Cook; and his uncle, the late Dean A. Cook.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024 all are welcome to attend his visitation from 3-7 p.m. at Chelmsford Bible Church, 128 Gorham Street, Chelmsford.
His funeral service will begin on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Chelmsford Bible Church, followed by procession for burial at Westlawn II Cemetery in Lowell.
