Obituary

HOLLIS- Linette (Lynn) Marie Girard, age 62, passed away on May 22, 2024, at her home, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lynn was born in Biddeford, Maine on January 3, 1962, the daughter of Janice Marie Gerard and Lloyd Provencal.
She attended grade school in Old Orchard Beach and high school at Thornton Academy in Saco.
In 1993, Lynn married the love of her life, David Michael Girard, Sr.
Lynn had a successful career as a real estate broker for three decades. She opened her own Agency, Maine Shoreline Realty, LLC and was later elected York County Realtor of the year in 2022.
Lynn’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed a Starbucks latte, gardening, listening to and singing the blues, walking on the beach, and socializing with friends.
She was a member of the York County Realtor Association and the Saco Elks Lodge. She volunteered for many years with both organizations, finding joy in serving her community. Some of the volunteer work close to her heart included Toys for Tots, preparing Thanksgiving baskets, raising funds to provide heating assistance, and delivering necessities to those in need.
She is survived by her husband David, her children; Kandice, Josh, Gena, David, and their spouses, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five siblings, many nieces and nephews, and a huge extended family that she loved deeply.
Family, friends, and others who have been touched by Lynn’s life are welcome to join us at the Saco Elks lodge, 68 Ocean Park Road, Saco, ME 04072, on June 10th at 5PM to celebrate her life. Bring a dish to share if you like.
Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army in Old Orchard Beach as that organization was influential in Lynn’s life as a child. Donate to The Salvation Army (salvationarmyusa.org)
