Obituary

Michelle (Dunn) McCourt of West Roxbury, formerly of Allston, passed away suddenly on May 23, 2024, at the age of 56. Daughter of the late Kathleen McCauley and Ronald Dunn. Beloved wife of James B. McCourt of West Roxbury. Devoted mother of her son James M. McCourt and his partner Bridget McConville of Quincy, and daughter Molly (McCourt) Donga, and her husband Nolan Donga of Brighton. Loving Grandmother (“Mickey”) of Lainey Donga. Dear sister of Robert Dunn and his wife Cheryl Callaghan-Dunn of Walpole and Ronald Dunn and his partner Ronda Dorson of Allston. Also survived by many dear friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Michelle enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting family in Ireland, crafting, relaxing baths and cozying up on the couch for a good movie.

Michelle loved quoting Winnie the Pooh. “If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you must remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we are apart.. I’ll always be with you”.

Visiting Hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, May 30th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, May 31st at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10am.
