Barbara Marion (Anderson) Quinn, 94, of Johnston, Rhode Island (formerly Abington, Massachusetts) died peacefully on May 22, 2024, after living a long full life.
Barbara was born on December 2, 1929, in Boston, Massachusetts daughter of Charles and Hazel Anderson.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Louis Quinn, of 60 plus years; daughter Ellen Louise Kachuck; and son Raymond Charles Quinn.
She leaves behind her other three children, Joanne Strondak and husband Alan Strondak; Barbara Jean Webster and husband Michael Webster; and Diane Marie Cox. She leaves nine grandchildren Valerie McCall and husband Jeff McCall; Danielle Reader and husband Michael Reader; Timothy Strondak and wife Renee Strondak; Andrew Kachuck; Michael Webster; Matthew Webster and his wife Jamie Lapierre-Webster; Jeffrey Cox; Courtney Moran and her husband Ian Moran; Melanie Cox. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren Alexandria; Charlotte; Cameron; Kaylee; Emma; Aria; Finn; Quinn and Claire.
Barbara loved her family and included her four-legged friends, her dogs, as an important part of her family, often referring to them as her “babies”. To anyone who knew her she had spunk and could often be referred to as sassy. She enjoyed being out and about, driving into her nineties.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary), Whitman, Massachusetts. A burial will follow the funeral service at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.
