In addition Tony is survived by his beloved children Keri-Ann Dayhoff and her husband Anthony, Corina Mascarello and her husband Jarred, Toni-Marie Mascarello and husband Brian and Nicholas Mascarello and his wife Cheyenne. He was the loving Papa of Kayla and Lillyana Bonney, Julie Viola and Manny “Manny Moo” Mascarello. Tony is survived by his brother Vincent Mascarello, his sisters Sarene Doherty, Katherine Royster and sister-in-law Diana “Yanna” Mascarello. He was the brother of the late John Mascarello. Tony is also survived by his dog Beages and is now reunited with his precious 4-legged best friend Bailey “Bailey Boop.”
Tony was a member of the Brockton High School class of 1972. Tony owned and raced greyhounds across the country with his brother John. In the early 1980’s, he was the proud owner of T&G’s Custom Countertops in Brockton. He then went on to open and own On the Break Billiards in Raynham and Tony’s Billiards in Wareham.
In Tony’s younger years he excelled at many sports especially baseball and football. He always said “I could have made it to the pro’s if I had focused more on my grades.” He had many hobbies including listening to music, playing guitar, shooting pool, visiting the beach and fishing. He had an enormous love for animals and would open his home to any in need. He was never afraid to roll the dice at the casino, make a bet on his favorite sports teams or take a chance in life in general.
Tony was a strong and loving father who was proud of his children and all they have accomplished in life. Toni-Marie and Nick were not only his kids but also his best friends. On some days it was a love-hate relationship, but in the end, it was all love. Growing up his kids would often accompany him to the pool hall where he would reserve a table just for them to either play pool or set up their Barbies. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, with his oldest granddaughter Kayla just graduating college, Julie currently in college, Lilly soon to enter her senior year of high school and his only grandson Manny. He recently mentioned hoping to have another 15 years to watch them grow into who they will all become. Tony hoped of having time to witness his youngest grandchild Manny grow up and help him make it to the pro’s as he had always dreamed of. It’s true what they say “the good die young.”
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, on Tuesday, May 28 from 4-7pm. Private services will be held at a later date for immediate family.
