LACONIA ---- Allan Jones, Jr., 71, of Blueberry Lane, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Concord Hospital in Laconia.
Allan was born on December 14, 1952, in Cambridge, MA, the son of Allan Jones Sr., and Constance (Campbell) Jones.
He went to Ringe High and Latin in Cambridge, MA. He worked in manufacturing and electronics until he retired. Allan was a member of St. Andre Bessette Parish – Sacred Heart Church in Laconia. He was an avid sports fan for all New England teams.
As a young man he coached little league baseball and was a boy scout. Allan loved trips to the ocean, especially Wells, ME. He enjoyed Bingo, board games and Saturday night poker with family and friends. Allan was a gentle man with a loveable
personality and will be truly missed by many.
Allan is survived by his sisters, Karen Dognazzi and her husband David of North Port, FL, Nancy Jones of Laconia, and Sandra Page and her husband Douglas of Belmont, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Allan was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years, Frances (Reed) Jones and his sister Donna Mercier.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 2:00pm-4:00pm, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10:00am, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
