Joan "Joanne" Treantafel, aged 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Mav 7th, 2024 She was born one of 11 siblings on December 2nd, 1943 to Cornelia Bulens and John Bruno. Joanne was pre-deceased by her husband Ronald Peter Treantafel and her daughter Tracy Ann Treantafel.
Joanne loved to read, do puzzles, and kicked butt at Nintendo's Zelda and Super Mario Brothers. Known to many in the Boston school system as their cafeteria Mom, she wore many hats - wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt - but most often went by "Nan" to most who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her large family and circle of friends.
Joanne leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her children Ronald Joseph Treantafel (Julie & Chaos) and Stacy Jean Tripp; her grandchildren Roni-Jo Treantafel (Richard Mason) and Jesse Tripp; her great grand-children Liliana, Isabella, Kharri, and Kastiel.
A memorial service followed by a Celebration of Life will be held at her sister Jeannie's home on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Please contact Ron or Stacy if you need further information.
