Barbara R. (Keniston) Pelosi, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old.
Barbara was a longtime parishioner and dedicated member of Saint Joseph’s Church community, and a volunteer for the annual Saint Joseph’s Feast for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Malden High School Alumni Association.
Barbara was the wife of the late Joseph J. Pelosi. She was the loving mother of Joseph J. Pelosi Jr. and his wife Laura of Tewksbury, Debra L. Pelosi and her partner Barry Withers, and Michele A. Vidic and her husband John all of Malden. Barbara was the dear sister of Marion Minchella and her late husband Anthony, Margaret Cleary and her late husband George, Charles Kenniston and his wife Peggy, and the late Richard, Fred, Joseph and Bobby Kenniston. She was the cherished grandmother of Katie and Krystle Pelosi, Anthony and Ally Vidic and Kevin Burns and the great-grandmother of Richie, Kali, Joey, Kevin, Jenna and James. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday May 23rd at 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 11:30am.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
