Herman T. Morris, 80, of Irwinville, Georgia, died Friday, May 17, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Morris was born June 21, 1943, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Thomas Jefferson & Christine Mollie Spires Morris. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a supervisor for Tice Yarn and also worked for Heat Craft. He loved beef, was a military history buff, and was especially fond of the ocean and being on the salt water.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Reliford Morris; children: Raymond Morris & Tonya Shroyer, Tammy Morris & Robert Certain, and Lisa & David Martin, all of Irwinville; grandchildren: Lessie Sivalia, Christine & Thomas Frye, Kyle & Karen Robinson, Charity Martin, Hope Martin, and Jonathan & Lacy Martin; great-grandchildren: Ashley Mitchell, Doc Mitchell, Gracie Mitchell, Trevor Sivalia, Sophia Frye, Payton Frye, Abigail Robinson, Sandro Robinson, and Alex Robinson; sister, Linda Pafford of Nashville; and brother, Jack Morris of Kansas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Winter.
