James J. Sharpe-Logue, 74

James J. Sharpe-Logue, age 74, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. Sharpe-Logue.
Born in Boston, MA on March 29, 1950, he was a loving son of the late John F., Sr. and Mary B. (Ziniti) Sharpe.
James grew up in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. During the Vietnam War, he proudly and unselfishly served his country, as a member of the United States Army, from June 26, 1969-May 12, 1971.
A resident of Mansfield for the past twelve years, he previously resided in Quincy. Prior to retiring, James was employed in Inventory Control at Certainteed Roof Shingles.
Affectionally known as “Sharpie” of “Mr. Grumpy”, He was a member of the New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue, Inc. and a former member of the Wampanoag Paddlers on the South Shore. James always maintained the highest level of love and respect for animals and his hobbies included being an avid reader, watching sports and canoeing.
In addition to his wife, he was the dear brother of John “Jack” Sharpe, Jr. and his wife Maria of Mansfield, Jean Corsi and her husband John of Marshfield, Michael Sharpe and his wife Carol of Westport, CT, Matthew Sharpe and his wife Erin of Attleboro and Steven Sharpe of Mansfield.
At James’ request, there will be no services and visiting hours have also been omitted.
