Daniel E. Wing, 54, of Candia, NH, died Thursday May 16, 2024, in Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. He was born on February 5, 1970 in Derry, NH, a son of Dorothy (Dexter) Wing and the late Seth Wing.
Dan was someone who knew how to repair anything around the house including vehicles. He was very skilled in all trades. If something was broken, he knew how to fix it. Any time family or friends needed help with a home project, he was ready and willing.
Dan was very musical and was very active in his high school marching band. His love of music led him to play guitar in a rock band, performing at many local venues. He, his wife, and son went kayaking often, and also went on several chartered deep-sea fishing trips together.
He also loved to play golf with his friends. He was so happy when he was able to teach his son golf, and they could play together. In his younger years, he loved to play hockey, and got his son on his first pair of ice skates at three years old. In recent years, the two of them played pond hockey often together.
He will be missed by many and best remembered for his ability to slip random movie quotes into any normal conversation.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marisa (McNeff) Wing; son, Gavin Wing; his mother, Dorothy Wing; four sisters, Gerilyn Hartman, Bonnie VanLaarhoven, Cassie Labbe, and Pam Sheedy; two brothers, Gary Wilson, and Matt Wing, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are welcome to a graveside service on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00am in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Rd, E. Derry, NH. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
