Obituary

Charles Joseph ‘Charlie’ Salvato, 62 of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Mass General Hospital in Boston after complications following heart surgery. He was the husband of Jeanne T. (LaCroix) Salvato, with whom he would of shared 37 years this coming November.

He was born on January 7, 1962 in Somerville and was a son of the late Paul J. and Anna (Saia) Salvato. He was raised and educated in the Somerville area and graduated Valedictorian of his class from the Somerville Technical Trade High School.

Charlie devoted his career to his role as a licensed electrician, showcasing his skill and dedication in the field. With a passion for 50’s rock music and classic cars, he found joy in the nostalgia of bygone eras. Known for his exuberant personality, Charlie brought energy and vibrancy to those around him. However, he also maintained a sense of privacy regarding his personal life, keeping his inner world close to his heart.

In addition to his wife, Jeanne of Tewksbury, he is survived by his siblings, Paul J. Salvato of Tewksbury, Chandler J. Salvato of Somerville, Deborah Ann Salvato of Somerville, and his brothers and sisters in law, Robert LaCroix of Merrimack, NH, Charlie LaCroix of Seattle, WA, Anne LaCroix of WA, Joan Henba and her husband, Jordan of Tewksbury, Richard LaCroix and his wife, Marie of Wakefield, Paul LaCroix and his wife, Nancy of Ashby, Richard LaCroix and his wife, Marie of Wakefield.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Julie Hopkins of Harvard, Michelle Scola of Shirley, Rachel Henba and her husband, Eric of Tewksbury, Richard LaCroix of Seattle, WA, Diane Hill of Ashby, MA and Jimmy Lacroix of Monticello, MN; and his grand nephews and grand niece, Jude, Elliot, Mia and Matthew.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to any animal shelter of your choice or to the: Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854.

On Friday, May 24, 2024 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 4 - 8 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury 978-851-2061. His funeral will begin on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury.
