Nell Dean Eidson, 82, of Chula passed away Monday, April 1, 2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Waterloo Baptist Church with the Rev. John Edimsten and the Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. Mrs. Eidson was laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
Gary McCurdy, Luke Joiner, Howard Layton, Casey Joiner, Mike Fletcher and Jody Joiner served as pallbearers.
Born August 31, 1949, in Turner County, Mrs. Eidson was the daughter of the late Edward Leonard Dean and Lucy Sheppard Dean. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Earl Eidson; two brothers; and one sister. Before retiring, she was an inspector at the Sears Roebuck Company Distribution Center.; and she was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church.
Mrs. Eidson is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Shirley Eidson of Atlanta; one daughter, Regina Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; two brother, Frank Dean of Woodlawn and Sime Dean of Charlotte, South Carolina; two sisters, Daisey Joiner of Rebecca and Cathy Fletcher of Chula; and two grandsons, Ryan Eidson and Alex Salteis.
