BRISTOL ---- Robert “Bob” Ryan, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Born and raised in Boston, MA, Bob was the son of Harold Ryan and Enid (McGrath) Moore. Following graduation from Boston Latin High School he entered the US Navy. He met and married Margaret “Peg” Burns with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
Bob worked in medical laboratories throughout his life, starting in the Navy and at Chelsea Naval Hospital, several Boston Hospitals and for the last 30+ years at Speare Hospital in Plymouth.
In Bob’s spare time he enjoyed scuba diving, reading, downhill skiing and water skiing. He enjoyed caring for his lawn, watching the birds, and the flowers.
Family members include his wife Peg Ryan of Bristol; daughters: Lynne (Eric) Reger of Indiana; Kim Ryan of Bristol; son Michael Williams of Texas; a brother Richard (Jane) Hayes of Dedham, MA; sister Joan (Alfred) Donazzi of Marieta, GA; nine grandchildren; 4.5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, W. Robert Ryan Jr. and sister Patricia Rendal.

A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
