Angela Rita (Correnti) Faiella, 93, of Winthrop passed away on Wednesday, May 15th at Life Care Center of Stoneham. Raised and educated in East Boston and Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Barletta) Correnti. Angela worked in the garment industry, and lived in Medford before moving to Winthrop over 50 years ago. She and her husband traveled extensively. She loved to dance as well as sing, and especially enjoyed spending holidays with family.
Angela was the beloved wife of the late John Faiella, and the dear sister of the late Anthony Correnti and his late wife Santina, and the late William Correnti and his late wife Lena. She was the loving aunt of Marie Dennen and her late husband Noah, Angelo Correnti and his wife Donna, the late Donna Carrigan and her surviving husband Paul, and William Correnti, Jr. and his wife Maryellen. Angela is also survived by ten great nieces and nephews and 14 great great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, May 23rd from 9 am through 11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 am. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Angela’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
