Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved Eydie (Morissett) Holloway on May 8th. She was 69 years old.

Eydie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. For the past 43 years, she shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, David. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Born in Haiti and immigrating to America at 2 years old, Eydie grew up in Randolph, MA before making her home in Franklin for over four decades. She was a graduate of Randolph High School and attended Northeastern University. Eydie dedicated her career to serving others and retired from Hormel Food Company in January of 2023 after stints at GTE and Digital Corporation.

In her free time, Eydie pursued her creative passions, finding joy in painting, DIY projects, scrapbooking, and journaling. She took great pride in entertaining family and friends, always the gracious hostess. Eydie's happiest moments were spent surrounded by her loved ones, including her grandchildren, and embarking on camping adventures in the family RV with her husband David. Eydie was a woman of faith and her church family at Crossways Church meant so very much to her. She felt a sense of home at Crossways.

Eydie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service. Eydie was predeceased by her late mother, Gyslaine Morissett, her late father, Joseph Morissett, and her late brother, Harry Morissett. She will be deeply missed by her husband, David; her children, Ian Coleman of Pawtucket, RI and Elisabeth Holloway of Long Beach, CA; her sister, Gisele (Morissett) Urban; her stepchildren, Christopher Holloway, and David Holloway, Jr and her adoring grandchildren, Xavier and Nia, Yolanda Jennings; (mom to Xavier and Nia) grandchildren, Shafique, Gianna, Christina, Chyanne, Courtnee and great-grandchild Jaxson and her niece, Nadiya Monestime. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the many blessings Eydie brought to our lives.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd from 1:00-3:00 pm followed by a service from 3:00-4:30 pm at Crossway Church 282 Summer Street, Franklin, Massachusetts. All are welcome to join us in remembering our beloved Eydie. As Eydie was a breast cancer survivor, instead of flowers, the family kindly requested that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Society in Eydie's memory.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
