Denise M. Monaghan, 74, of Kingston, New Hampshire died peacefully Thursday April 11, 2024 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire. She was the wife of the late John Connolly Monaghan who passed away in 2004.
Born and raised in Woonsocket, RI she was daughter of the late Jules and Marguerite (Ethier) Laferriere.
She was a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School in Woonsocket with the class of 1967. Denise went on to earn both her Bachelors and Master’s degrees from Rhode Island College majoring in Education.
Denise resided in New Hampshire for many years in and around the Candia, Manchester and Bedford areas.
For many years Denise volunteered for the Angels program assisting with bringing those in need of a ride to doctor’s appointments and other needs.
Denise will be remembered for her love, care and concern for her family, friends and those in need.
Denise is survived by her two sons Ross Monaghan and his wife Katelyn of Danvers, MA and Matthew Monaghan of Manchester, NH. She was the proud grandmother of Sullivan, Joseph and Thomas. Denise was the sister of Monique Laferriere of Greenville, RI and is survived by her extended family.
Funeral and burial services for Denise were held privately. She was laid to rest in the family lot at Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket, RI.
