Charlene M. (Sullivan) Kent, a 54-year resident of Saugus and formerly of Melrose, entered into eternal life on Sunday, Mother's Day, May 12, 2024, at her home in Saugus. She was 83 years of age.
Charlene was born in Melrose on March 6, 1941, a daughter of the late Julian T. Sullivan and Julia (Gilligan) Sullivan. She grew up in Melrose where she was educated throughout the Melrose Public School system and graduated from Melrose High School. Charlene worked for the telephone company for over 36 years before her retirement. She enjoyed her time spending with the group of "Red Hats" and her morning coffee hour group.
Charlene is the beloved wife of the late Alan B. Kent. She is the loving mother of Timothy Alan Kent and the late Julie. She is the loving Nana to Timothy Alan Kent Jr., Nickolas Kent and Stephanie M. Armstrong. She is the beloved sister of the late Carol Jensen, Barbara Munson, Janice Rich and Jean Bennett. She is the stepmother of Alan Kent and Sandra, Robert Kent and Kathy, John Kent and Jan and Bette Kent Lynch. She is the dear friend of Larry and Joyce, Judy and Edward, John and Sandra, Howie, and Michelle.
Charlene's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
