David J. Sullivan, 81, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, May 10th at Rose Monahan Hospice House, after a brief battle with cancer. He leaves a brother, James Sullivan of Shrewsbury; a niece, Caroline Willman and her husband, John of Sterling; a nephew, Casey Sullivan and his wife, Michele of Piedmont, CA; four great nieces, Hannah, Sarah, Ava, and Julia; a great nephew, Thomas; and his treasured neighbors, Joe and Pat Clemmey.
David was born in Worcester, the son of James F. and Elizabeth (Casey) Sullivan. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s Central High School and College of the Holy Cross. David was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps serving a tour of duty in the Vietnam conflict. He was also a retired Special Agent with the Department of Treasury (ATF).
His funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 30th beginning at 11:00am in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 929 Main Street. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Rose Monahan Hospice House, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
