Marianne (Vraibel) Walles, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, Mother's Day, May 12, 2024, at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge following a 4-week courageous battle with cancer. She was 63 years of age.
Marianne was born in Boston on July 17, 1960, a daughter of the late Joseph F. Vraibel Jr. and Geraldine M. (Beasley) Vraibel. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Girls Catholic High School in Malden in 1979. Marianne worked as a Dietician Aide at the Youville Hospital in Cambridge and retired following over 20 years of dedicated service.
Her family was her pride and joy and she enjoyed attending all the sporting events for her 2 sons, Kevin and Shawn and in the last couple of years took great interest in watching her grandson Sam. Always by her side was her husband Kevin who she loved dearly. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City and Las Vegas with her husband and also enjoyed the many times socializing with her friends.
Marianne is the beloved wife of 38 years to Kevin J. Walles. She is the devoted mother of Kevin J. Walles Jr. and his wife Barlla and Shawn Walles and his wife Maura. She is the loving and proud Nana to her grandson Sam. She is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her beloved dog Dakota.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marianne's Funeral on Friday morning, May 17, 2024, at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
