On Monday May 6th, 2024 Albert J. Guarino of Raymond, New Hampshire passed peacefully with his daughter Sandra by his side. Albert fought hard with his illness of Dementia. He was born July 1st, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the cherished son of the late Umberto and Antoinette (Parisi) Guarino both originally from Avellino, Italy. Albert grew up in the North End of Boston. He later moved to Dorchester and Medford where he lived for many years. Toward the end of his days he moved to Raymond, NH, with his daughter and son.
Early on Albert work for Remington Shavers until he moved onto MIT and Draper Research. Albert had a couple of side jobs where he worked in the North End. Albert was a hard worker and loved his family unconditionally. He made people laugh, and always looked on the brighter side of things. If he was your friend you had a friend for life. He was always there when someone needed him, family or friend. He will be missed deeply and always in our hearts.
Albert was the beloved husband of 41 years to his late wife Mary V. (Martinelli) Guarino. Mary was originally from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He was the devoted father of Sandra A. Guarino and Albert J. “Jamie” Guarino Jr. both of Raymond, NH. He was the loving grandfather of his 3 grandchildren Nicholas A. DiCarli of Quincy, Anthony J. DiCarli and Veronica S. Petrikas, both of Raymond, NH, and the caring great grandfather of Ginevieve Murphy DiCarli. He was the dear brother of his 4 sisters, Olga Reed of Medford, and the late Rita Porcaro of Boston, Theresa Baldassarre of Medford, and Maria Guarino of Boston. Albert was the longtime friend of Christopher Ciarcia who helped take care of him (who Albert loved dearly) as well as his caregiver Sharon Davis (who Albert adored). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as the staff at The Arbors of Bedford NH, where he had many who cared and loved him.
Albert’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 16th at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Alberts’s family on Wednesday, May 15th, from 4 to 8 PM in the funeral home to celebrate his life. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
