Nicodemo Patrizio, age 90, passed away on May 11th, surrounded by his loving and caring family. Nicodemo was the beloved husband of the late Angela (Ientile) Patrizio. He was born in Grotteria, Reggio Calabria, Italy, the son of the late Salvatore and Maria Patrizio.
In 1963, Nicodemo and Angela settled in Woburn to raise their family. Nick, as he liked to be called, provided for his family by working in construction and as a mason for the city of Woburn. During his retirement, Nick delighted in being a crossing guard at the Malcolm White school, as well as spending time chatting with neighbors, gardening, and winemaking. During the colder weather, Nick loved grilling sausages on the wood stove, watching the Godfather, and listening to Italian music. For many years he was an active member of the Appian Club in Stoneham, where he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and attending functions. Most importantly, Nick was a devoted husband who took care of his wife throughout her lengthy illness prior to her passing in 2019.
As a proud Italian, Nick will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic and great faith which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. Their accomplishments were his successes.
Nicodemo is survived by his devoted children, Maria Linehan and her husband Wayne of Tewksbury, Rosalba Smith and her husband James of Burlington, Liliana Litle and her husband David of Lynn, Salvatore Patrizio and his wife Lynne of Woburn.
