Obituary

Michael Wadsworth Maximillian Halner passed away suddenly, at his home in Watertown, on April 26, 2024, at the age of 41. Michael was born on September 3, 1982. He was raised in Rockland and ultimately obtained his GED. Michael was a skilled tradesman who worked in landscaping, carpentry, and masonry. For many years, he was a proud member of Union 35 - Painters and Allied Trades - where he worked as a Union Glazier. Michael had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was incredibly personable and made friends easily. Family would joke that he could make friends anywhere... grocery store, park, or simply walking down the street. Michael loved animals and could often be seen taking selfies with his beloved fur babies. Michael loved Castle Island, where he often enjoyed an early morning cup of coffee before starting his day. Michael is pre-deceased by his parents, Donna Marie (Bennett) and Maximillian Halner, as well as his best friend/Nana, Ruby Bennett. Michael is survived by his daughter Brianna Halner, of Gloucester, MA, and his sisters Deanna Halner of Fall River, MA, and Angelica Halner of Londonderry, NH. He leaves behind his nephews Lucca and Cole Piemonte, long-time friend Molly Baker, countless friends and extended family. We will always remember Michael for his fierce love, sense of humor, love of the Celtics, his contagious smile, and the twinkle in his eye. We take comfort in knowing that Michael is finally free. Services will be held on May 25th, 1-3pm, at Casper Funeral and Cremation, located at 187 Dorchester Street, Boston, MA. Immediately following services, family and friends are invited to celebrate Michael's life at Boston Bowl, in Dorchester, MA.
