Linda Jean (Clarke) Haley, 79, a long time Tewksbury resident, passed away peacefully at her home in Derry, NH after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Frederick Haley who passed away in 1993.
She was born on April 17, 1945 and was a daughter of the late Harold Clarke and the late Bernice Shay. She was raised and educated in the Malden area. After high school, she was married to Frederick Haley and shortly after moved to Tewksbury where they began their family life and raised their daughter, Kerri.
Jean worked at Smith and Nephew on Dascomb Road for over 20 years before her retirement. She loved to cook and bake, her apple pies were world class. Additionally, she enjoyed the cooking channel and loved the challenge of trying to recreate the recipes she saw on the screen. She also had an interest in crafting and cherished time spent with her friends from the old neighborhood in Tewksbury.
She is survived by her daughter, Kerri Harris and her husband, Shawn, of Derry, NH; her grandsons, Nicholas Galiano of Derry, NH and Anthony Galiano of Gardner; her brother, Stephen Clarke and his wife, Jane, of Melrose and Thomas Clarke of Wakefield. She is also survived by her sisters in law, Janice Clarke of Wakefield and Sue Clarke of Wakefield and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Clarke.
On Friday, May 17 all are welcome to attend her visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and her funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury 978-851-2061. Procession will follow to Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
