Veronica “Jerry” G. (Anderson) Smith, age 93, of Tewksbury, passed away at her daughter’s home in Windham, NH on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of William E. Smith, who passed away on June 9, 2013.
Born in the Brighton area of Boston on June 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late David Anderson and the late Veronica (Tatten) Anderson.
Veronica was the beloved mother of William E. Smith, Jr and his wife Wendy, of Hampstead, NH, Cindy Laferriere and her husband Rod, of Windham, NH, Frank R. Smith and his wife Christine, of Salem, NH and David H. Smith and his wife Laurie, of Tewksbury. Grandmother of William, Haley, Corilynn, Roderick, Jr., Nicole, Alexa, Michael, and Matthew. Great grandmother of Savannah, Ryker, Rylie and Kaya. She was the oldest sister of Mary Larffarello, David Anderson, Patricia Mariano, John Anderson and the late Teresa Georgopoulas, Anna Colletti, Josie Olshaw, Joan Erban, Madeline Rufo and Mildred Tashjian. Many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
