Obituary

STANDISH – Alan E. Hubley, age 85, passed away on May 3, 2024, at his home. He was born in Haverhill, Ma., a son of the late Harold and Etta
(Burnell) Hubley.
Alan proudly served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1970
with time in Viet Nam on the USS Madera County ship as a Second-Class Engineman. He is a member of Kora Shriners, Lewiston, ME, Northern Masonic Scottish Rite, Portland, ME and the Grand Lodge of Masons in MA.
He received his 50-year certificate as a Mason Dec. 1, 2023, from Starr King Lodge.
For over 30 years he worked for General Electric, Jet Engine division in Lynn, MA. Retiring in March 1998. Alan enjoyed fishing and playing golf in early years and was a member of the Bass Anglers Society and Gorham Country Club. Fun times were had riding his ATV, motorcycle, and snowmobile with his wife and friends. Playing with his beloved dogs,
Annie, Harley and Princess.
He was predeceased by a brother – Winfred Hubley of Haverhill, MA., Sept. 20, 2023. Alan is survived by his beloved wife – Betty (Curtis) Hubley, his children – Jeff Hubley and his wife Lonnie of West Virginia; Richard Hubley and wife Christy of Sandown, N.H.; Gregory Hubley and his partner Jennifer Liesener of Front Royal, Virginia; Amy (Hubley) Morin and husband Tom Morin of Sanford, ME. ; sisters Alice Perkins of Brentwood, N.H. And Jean Johnson of Dover, N.H.; 12 grandchildren and many niece and nephews.
As per his request, there will be no funeral or graveside services.
