MASHANTUCKET: Owen Charles was a man of many talents and passions, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. From his humble beginnings in New Haven, CT, Owen's journey took him to Cornell University and then to the culinary world in New York City. His love for food and hospitality led him to a successful career at Foxwoods Resort & Casino, where he excelled as the director of hotel operations.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Owen was a devoted father to his two sons, Joshua and Owen II. Owen was a loving son to his Father Benjamin Charles Jr and his Mother Eunice Marjorie Colbut, his love for his Brother Dennis Charles and Benjamin Charles was everlasting, he leaves behind his two loving sisters Reverend Rosalind Price and Montess Charles as well as his grandson Kaiden Charles. His love for his family was unwavering, and he always put their needs above his own. Owen's kindness and generosity extended beyond his immediate family, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In his free time, Owen enjoyed cooking, fishing, and listening to his favorite music. His love for artists like Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, and the Temptations brought joy to those around him. Owen's presence will be deeply missed by his two sisters, nieces, nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Although his passing leaves a void in our lives, Owen's spirit and legacy will continue to inspire us. His dedication to his family, his work ethic, and his unwavering kindness serve as a reminder of the impact one person can have on the world. Owen Charles will forever be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated professional, and a cherished friend. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 11:00am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic.
