Haverhill

John E. Zujewski, Jr., 86, of Haverhill, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Steward Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was the loving husband of Alice T. (Sobiesielska) Zujewski with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late John E., Sr. and Helen (Languirand) Zujewski. Jack joined the Air Force directly out of high school and served in the Philippines as a mechanic on aircraft engines. Following his tour of duty, he returned to Salem and continued his schooling at Franklin Tech where he earned his Master Electrician license. Jack worked as an electrician for the United Shoe Machine Corporation in Beverly until his retirement. Devoted to his family, his favorite pastime was watching his children and grandchildren in all their various sporting events. He was a member of the PLAV Post 55 in Salem and the St. John Paul II Shrine of Divine Mercy also in Salem.
In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by their three children, Julianne E. Perkins and husband John of Middleton, Jill E. Berube and husband Andrew of Haverhill and John E., III and wife Maryann of Haverhill. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, John M. Perkins, Cameron J .& Timothy J. Berube, Emily A. & Adam J. Zujewski, as well as his sisters, Dorothy Welch and husband David of Ipswich and Helen Newhall of Saugus, in addition to several nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial in the St. John Paul II Shrine of Divine Mercy, 28 St. Peter St., Salem, MA 01970 on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM. His family will greet guests from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Burial at a later date will be private. Kindly consider a contribution in his memory to the above Shrine of Divine Mercy.
