LACONIA ---- Patricia R. Deflice, 89, peacefully passed away at her home in Laconia, on Monday, May 6, 2024.
Pat, as she was known to her friends, loved living in the Lakes Region but she was also proud of her earlier years in Malden, MA.
Pat was a lifelong Red Sox fan and staunch supporter of all things Boston Strong. A fierce competitor and always active, she loved tennis and was quite accomplished! In her later years she transitioned her love for tennis to the pickleball court, championing the sport long before most have ever heard of it.
Pat was a long standing and proud member of the Laconia Post American Legion Auxiliary, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks and Veterans of Foreign War. Pat warmly and generously volunteered to many local charities and community organizations. She was proud to have worked in many local businesses and banks and was a decades long Avon representative. Pat cherished the longtime connections and friendships that she made along the way.
She leaves behind her daughter Dawn Egan, sons Richard Melvin (Nena), Thomas Melvin (Jennifer), Onel Deflice III and Louis Deflice (Dale). She also leaves behind brothers Thomas and Richard Nealon and her sister Donna Nealon, as well as many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Emma, father Thomas, brothers Donald and Michael Nealon, daughter Nancy Labranche, son-in-law John Egan and husband Onel Deflice Jr.
Patricia was the heart and soul of our family. Though we are comforted with the fact that she lived a long and happy life and her spirit lives within us.
At her request there will be no services.
