Farris Nash Hargett, 90, of Knoxville, Georgia, (formerly of Fitzgerald), died Monday, May 6, 2024, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 at The Paulk Funeral Home on Thursday morning.
Mrs. Hargett was born October 27, 1933, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Osie Emmett & Frances Johnson Nash. She owned and operated Hargett’s Trailer Park and Farris Grocery in Fitzgerald for many years. She enjoyed knitting and working with yarn and crafting of all kinds.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Faye & Dennis Fish of Cochran, Shirley & Lee Connelly of Cottageville, South Carolina, Rita & Ronnie Mobley of Carrollton, and Joy & Keith Hall of Warner Robins; ten grandchildren: Cindy, Diana, Billy, Bobby, Quentin, Marlena, Brooke, Emily, Justin, and Meagan; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Nugent of Alapaha. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. “Bill” Hargett; and a brother, Willis Nash.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
