Cynthia L. (Tarr) Souza, 64 of Derry, NH passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of William J. Souza with whom she just shared their 43rd wedding anniversary on February 14.
She was born in Concord, NH on August 14, 1959 and was a daughter of the late Bert and Lorraine (Wright) Tarr. She was also the stepdaughter to Jane MacDonald and her husband, Stanley of Maine. She was raised and educated in the Claremont, NH area. Cynthia worked as an assembler for over 15 years at Raytheon. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and crocheting. Above all else, time spent with her family brought her the most happiness.
In addition to her husband, William Souza of Derry, NH, she is survived by her daughter, Melissa Souza and her companion, Adalberto Rivas of Derry, NH; and her grandchildren, Amelia Souza, Jovani Rivas, Billy Souza III, and Carter Souza.
She is also survived by her step mother, Jane MacDonald and her husband, Stanley of Maine; her siblings, Jean Bell of Vermont, and Christina Ayers and her husband, Dale of Maine, and Scott Tarr of Claremont, NH; her brother in law, Joe Souza and his wife, Kim of Dracut; many aunts and uncles including Sandy and Dick Gaudreault Marlow, NH; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, William J. Souza Jr.; her brother, Richard Tarr; her brothers in law, Tony Souza and Dave Souza; and her sister in law, Karen Souza.
Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I will miss you until we meet again.
On Friday, May 10, 2024 all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 4-7 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m.
