Jan Batchelor Hutto, 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at her son’s residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, May 10, 2024, at New Testament Holiness Church, in the Queensland Community of Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Charlotte Lawrence, the Rev. Larry Dean and the Rev. Ike Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mrs. Hutto was born August 16, 1956, in Macon, Georgia, to the late George & Maxine Floyd Batchelor. She received her cosmetology certification thru Ben Hill-Irwin Tech and work at Carters, Jerry’s #2 and was also a caregiver. Mrs. Hutto loved Jesus and her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she was an amazing cook. Mrs. Hutto attended New Testament Holiness Church and New Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons: Danny S. (Bug) Hutto, Jr. and wife Deborah Ann and George Hutto and his fiancé`, Jodie Jordan, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Danny, Christopher, Elizabeth, Sabrina and Dixie; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Roy Batchelor & Lynn of Jones County and Jack Batchelor & Cyndi of Roberta; a sister, Beth Jones & Larry of Warner Robins and her Chihuahua, Little Bit. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Silas “Rocky” Hutto, Sr.; a son, Buddy Lee Hutto; two brothers: Buddy Batchelor and Allen Batchelor and a sister, Jo Ann Cadwell.
