BRENTWOOD --- Timothy “Tim” Nelson, 57, of Three Ponds Drive, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Tim Nelson was a man who loved his family. His unwavering dedication and care towards his family was evident to all of those that knew him. He was an ever-present father in his children’s lives, never missing a school event, sports practice, game, or family dinner. Not a moment of his life passed without his working to better his wife and children's lives.
Living the vast majority of his life in New Hampshire, he was an avid fan of the Red Sox and his family will always remember warm summer evenings watching the games together. He will be remembered fondly by his children on the sidelines of their sports games cheering them on and ready after the game with a deep analysis of all that transpired in the contest.
He enjoyed riding his Ducati on beautiful summer days, the music of the Police and Dwight Yoakam, snowmobiling in Northern NH and Maine with his friends, church services with his family, and driving the boat on the lake with his wife.
After graduating from Keene State University, the alma mater of his parents, and receiving an MBA from Plymouth State University, Tim spent the bulk of his career in insurance. He eventually became the C.O.O. of Allegany Insurance Group in Western New York. He made many friends in the industry, some of whom became truly close with him and his family.
There are few in this world who possess the strength and fortitude that Tim had all his life. This was most apparent in the waning months of his life as no one would have known from speaking with him that he was sick. Through all of the trials and tribulations, he remained exactly the same man.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Jackie; two sons, Jake and Dave; parents George and Sharon; sister Meghan Cavanaugh; brother-in-law Arthur Cavanaugh; and two nieces Ellie and Libby.
No one will ever be able to replace Tim in the lives of those who knew him. His family asks that you think of him often.
