Linda (Foreman) Roberts, age 73, of Gray Maine, formerly of Tewksbury, MA. Linda passed away peacefully at home with her loving family next to her.
She was the beloved wife of Lindley D. Roberts, who passed away on October 21, 1995.
Born in Lowell on September 16, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Willis) Foreman, and sister to the late Butch Foreman and the late Carol St Cyr.
Linda went to school in Tewksbury and graduated from TMHS class of 1968.
Linda was married shortly after graduating high school. She and Lindley welcomed their daughter, Jill, the next year.
She worked with her husband growing flowers for the Boston flower market, on the family farm for a few years. Later Linda worked for Raytheon soldering under a microscope until she became disabled.
She attended Tewksbury Congregational Church for many years and even taught Sunday school there.
Linda and her husband enjoyed the ocean and Plum Island. Linda loved having a garden and cooking. She was known for her baking, especially lots of delicious Christmas cookies she gave away to her family.
Her hobbies were crocheting, making jewelry, and trying all kinds of new crafts. She used to paint ceramics and do tole painting. She was a very talented woman.
She was thrilled when her granddaughter was born and playing board games with her granddaughter was something they both loved to do.
Linda loved to sit and study magazines for recipes or homesteading and garden ideas. She loved the sunshine and being with her family. She loved her family so much. She was a loving, caring person. Even as her health was declining, she still wanted to help her family do things and cook for them.
In her last years she had a cat that she loved so very much.
She loved living in Maine and with her family, that's all she wanted was to be near her family and be a part of their lives. She left love wherever she went. Linda was a sweet soul and is greatly missed by her family.
Linda is survived by her daughter Jill and her husband Jeff Bearce of Gray Maine, and her granddaughter Lindsay Bearce of Gray Maine. Her sister Marilyn Mullen of Pelham NH, as well as many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Calling hours are Thursday May 9th, from 6 to 8 pm at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home 16 Lee St. Tewksbury, MA
There will be a graveside service on Friday May 10th at 12 Noon, at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury. All are welcome. The Roberts lot is located on Fred M. Carter Avenue at the cemetery.
