Obituary

CHICOPEE – Huguette T. (Noel) Lemire, 88, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 3, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at her daughter’s home in Easthampton surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Sherbrooke, Province of Quebec, Canada on June 6, 1935, a beloved daughter of the late Theophile and Estelle (Beaudette) Noel. She was raised and educated in Canada, moved to the Willimansett section of Chicopee in 1966, and settled in the Aldenville section of the city in 1968, where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the former Willimansett Center West in Chicopee and retired from the former Chicopee Municipal Home. She was a longtime communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She enjoyed spending time in her yard tending to her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, and in her quiet time, knitting and crocheting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Georges E. Lemire who was Called Home on October 19, 2006. She leaves her two loving and devoted children, Lyne D. Mularski of Easthampton and Johnny G. Lemire of Chicopee; her four cherished grandchildren, Nichole Gura and her husband, Craig, Daniel Gura, Jennifer Mularski, and Timothy Mularski and his wife, Samantha; her four cherished great grandchildren, Ryleigh Lupien, Cassidy Lupien, Mackenzie Brown, and Maylynn Fortini; her dear brother, Theophile Noel and his wife, Louise Robitaille; her four dear sisters, Monique Roy, Francine Noel, Andree Richard and her husband, Laurian, and Lise Petit; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Nancy M. Gura; her beloved son in law, Michael Mularski; her two dear brothers, Gerard Noel and Jean-Paul Noel; her dear sister, Laurence Cote; and her two dear brothers in law, Bertrand Roy and Jean Guy Petit. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will be private. Her family will receive friends on Saturday morning, May 18, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the Mass. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
