James D. ‘Jim’ Owen, 68 of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Lowell on November 7, 1955 and was a son of the late Osborn F. Owen and the late Thelma (Beaulieu) Owen. In his youth, he provided significant assistance to his parents, particularly during his father's illness. Growing up in Lowell, he attended local schools including Lowell High School.
James worked as a warehouse manager at Global Supply Company in Burlington for many years until illness forced his early retirement.
He was a member of the DuckPin Bowling League in Chelmsford and the Softball League in Chelmsford. He had a passion for Boston sports teams and also enjoyed spending time fishing in his boat at his favorite fishing spots. He loved riding motorcycles and rode up till the very end.
James is survived by his daughter, Kerry Owen of Pelham, NH; his two grandsons, Dylan Burns and Brady Bickford, both of Pelham, NH; and his sister, Dianne Tascione and her husband, Danny of Colton, CA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends including his former wife and good friend, Joanne M. (Kiernan) Owen of Pelham, NH; and his best friend, Gary Barnes of Lowell.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, the late Karen Annis and her husband, John.
