Worcester: Ruth E. (Gelatt) Carlson, 83, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, in The Oasis at Dodge Park. She leaves two daughters Susan (Hill) Malkhassian and her husband Michael of Holden and Carol Carlson of Millbury; a son Arvid Hill and his wife Gayle Bannister of Dudley; 3 grandchildren- Carson Hill, Aquinnah Hill, and Sevan Malkhassian; and a brother Eric Gelatt and his wife Cindy of FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years Roger Carlson.
Ruth was born in Leicester, daughter of the late John and Esther (Lindberg) Gelatt. She graduated from Leicester High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She worked as a payroll clerk at the former Norton Company for many years. After retirement Ruth, her husband and daughter Carol lived in Surprise AZ, until moving back in 2019 to be closer to family. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden and enjoyed baking, doing crossword puzzles, vacationing on Cape Cod and spending time with family.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Oasis at Dodge Park for the excellent level of care and support over the past 4 years. It meant the world to us and we are truly grateful for the love and attention you gave mom.
