It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our Mom, Beverly Ann Swaine Trimm. Born on October 23, 1942. She passed surrounded by her family on May 1, 2024, after a courageous 18 month fight with pancreatic cancer. May Day, one of our Mom’s favorite holidays. Even as we grew into adults she would make a May Day basket filled with candy to celebrate the spring and summer season.
Beverly grew up in Auburndale, MA. , married to Edward Trimm, for 54 years, until his passing in May 2020.
In 1968 they built their home in Bellingham, MA. and would become lifelong residents. In retirement, they spent time in their cottage in New Hampshire, their favorite place.
Beverly, was a full time Mom, and medical transcriptionist working with many local physicians until her retirement. She is fondly remembered by all of those who knew her, for her smile and kind demeanor.
Our Mom was very creative. She loved painting, gardening, crocheting and quilting. She made afghans for everyone in the family. While receiving her treatment she would crochet and donate hats to the Dana Farber Center for those in need – she even taught her nurse how to crochet while getting her infusions.
She was an avid football fan, both professional and college. She would record games if she would not be able to watch live, and could name and debate the skill of any player.
She was very involved in the senior center in Bellingham. Teaching history classes, learning how to play the ukulele and attending bird watching classes. She loved nature and could name every bird she saw. In her final years, she enjoyed going to the Franklin pond, watching the ducks while enjoying a Chocolate Frosty, as a daily routine.
She will be dearly missed by her family. Her daughter Julianne Trimm Wolford, her husband Robert, grandchildren Justin and Tori Wolford. Her son, Eric Trimm, his wife Claudia, grandchildren Abner and Samantha Trimm. Her daughter, Melissa Trimm Poirier, her husband Jason, grandchildren JJ, Elzie, Jonah and Raymond Poirier. Her brother Robert Swaine, his wife Ann, niece and nephew, Robert Swaine and Melissa Swaine Cook. She also leaves behind several dear friends, and loving companion Paul Peter, who brought much joy in her last years.
At her request, services will be private.
The Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. is honored to assist the Trimm family.
