Darryl Mucci, age 77, lifetime Medford resident, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 6th at the Courtyard Nursing Home in Medford. Darryl graduated from Medford High School class of 1965, and attended various courses at Northshore Community College. He joined the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his discharge, Darryl went to work at Tufts University and then the Post Office. He loved to collect various books and music. Darryl enjoyed listening to music as well as playing, and attended various concerts with his brother and his wife. He also loved going to Woodman’s every year for his birthday.
Darryl is the son of the late Louis F. Mucci and Madelyn (Sally Slocum) Mucci. He was predeceased by his brother Louis F. Mucci, and sister Peggy Heimeyer, both of California. He is survived by his brother Kevin (KC) and wife Mary of Stoneham, and sister-in-law Peggy Mucci of Roseville, CA. Darryl is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and their family.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, May 10th at 10:30 AM in Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and should arrive at the cemetery gate by 10:15 AM to join a procession to graveside.
