BELMONT---- Regina Mary Huntley, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia with her son and daughter by her side.
Regina was born on December 15, 1937, in Keene, the daughter of Reginald and Wilma (Hager) Stebbins.
She was a self-taught artist whose subjects were of idyllic 19th Century farms and rural houses, where many often wished they’d grown up. Her paintings abound in snowy-roofed cape cod houses, the kind that would keep the viewer warm and cozy. She was accepted into the New Hampshire League of Artists. She always had a deep love for dogs.
Regina is survived by a daughter, Lynn Peterson of Belmont; a son, David Huntley of Barnstead; a sister, Marceline Boomer of Canterbury; five grandchildren, Daniel Peterson of Gilford, Michael Peterson of Belmont, Bethann Day of Gilmanton, Stephanie Huntley of Penacook, and Jeremy Huntley of Salem; four great-grandchildren, Lindsey Peterson and Oliver Peterson of Belmont, and Jacob Warren and Brooklyn Bourrie of Penacook. In addition to her parents, Regina was predeceased by her husband, John Huntley; a son, Kevin; and a sister, Beverly Robbins.
At this time there will be no services.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Golden Crest Assisted Living of Franklin and the Belknap County Nursing Home of Laconia.
