ROBERT WILLIAM GAUDREAU
BORN 9/10/1960 – DIED 4/30/2024
Robert was born in Laval, Montreal, Quebec. The family moved to Somerville in 1971 upon his parents’ divorce.
Robert died due to complications from diabetes. He was preceded by his mother, Doris T. Gaudreau (David) in 2004 and his sister, Paula Rose-Marie Gaudreau in 2020. He is survived by his sister, Laura Demers (Gaudreau).
Robert/Bobby was a huge music fan and was heavily influenced by The Ramones. He was in several bands including The 8 Balls, The Annoyed, Facts About Rats and The Queers. Facts About Rats was in the semi-finals of the WBCN Rock N Roll Rumble in 1993 held at the Paradise Rock Club. The Queers and Facts About Rats played quite a few shows with some famous bands such as The Ramones, The Nirvanas, The Outlets, Human Sexual Response, Willie ‘Loco’ Alexander, The Real Kids, LePeste and The Neighborhoods.
He was also an avid Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan and was known to spout statistics about various players at any time.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
