Patricia L. “Patty” (Shepard) Secher, age 55, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the embracing love of her family on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence.
Born in Norwood, MA on June 24, 1968, she was a loving daughter of the late Albert C. and Martha (Anderson) Shepard.
Patty grew up and was educated in Attleboro. For over thirty years, she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Attleboro. Patty was truly committed to her job, always putting those she cared for first.
Patty’s family was the greatest and most precious gift in her life. Being a mother and grandmother brought her unmeasurable joy and happiness. She was also an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed the simple pleasures of watching soap operas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but the memories she created will live on in her family’s hearts forever.
She was the loving and devoted mother of Courtney T. Secher of Norton and the late Nikole L. Secher, who passed away in 2017. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Nikole’s son, JJ Eastman of Norton. She was the much-loved dear sister of Jean Mendes of Attleboro and her late husband Edward “Babe” Mendes, Debbie Carlon and her husband Herbie of Attleboro, Edith Cameron and her husband Rich of Attleboro and the late Kevin Shepard, who is survived by his wife Jane Shepard of Cumberland, RI. She was the dear aunt of the late Ian Pickering and is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, May 5th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Patty’s family would prefer that donations in her memory be made to the Jared James Eastman, Jr. Educational Fund, care of Mansfield Bank, 80 North Main St., Mansfield, MA 02048.
