Carol (DeMattia) Clark, age 73, of Burlington, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30th, at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Jeanette (DeAngelis) DeMattia and the late Ernest DeMattia.
A life-long Medford resident and graduate of Medford High School, Carol was always a friendly face to be seen at the Meadow Glen Mall, where she worked for many years in customer service. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt; she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Carol enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas, when she always had her nutcracker collection on display. Wherever you found Carol, she would have a smile on her face.
Carol was the beloved wife of Robert "Craig" Clark. She was the devoted mother of Cariann Cooper and her husband John of Burlington, Christopher Clark and his partner Barbara Lawlor, and the late Craig Clark. She was the loving grandmother of Alexis Norton and her husband Daniel of Nashua, NH, Rabecca, Jacob, Joshua, and Jackson Cooper. She was the dear sister of Ernest DeMattia of Nashua, NH, Robert DeMattia of North Reading, and Janice Statuto and her husband Ralph of Wilmington. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and Godchildren.
A Funeral Service for Carol will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, May 3rd at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Thursday, May 2nd, from 4-8 PM.
