Obituary

Beverly A. (Mallett) Marley, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 30th at home with loving family after a short battle with cancer.

Beverly was married to the late Richard Marley for 43 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Lockwood, and her husband, Glenn of Rochdale, and Lynn Angell, and her husband, Kenneth of Cherry Valley, her son, Sean Marley and his wife, Kris of Paxton. Beverly had six grandchildren, Angie and Jason Lockwood, Cassandra and Rena Collette, and Ashley and Megan Marley and four great grandchildren, Neil Lockwood, Danika Curll, Jack and Cara Gunderman. She was predeceased by her daughter, Leah Sharon Cooke of Texas in 2014. She also leaves her sister, and her best friend, Maureen Brusa of North Oxford and her brother, Kevin Mallett of Palm Harbor, FL.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joel and Juliet (Sargent) Mallett; and was a graduate of South High and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, working a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital for 45 years, retiring in 2005. In her younger years, she sang in the Worcester County Light Opera. Beverly was a long-time member of St. Ann's Parish in North Oxford and participated in bible studies in her spare time. She enjoyed the Senior Center and loved to travel with friends and family, played scrabble weekly, and was an avid reader and delighted in visiting with her many friends. Her greatest joy was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Her visitation will be held Friday, May 3rd from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
