MEREDITH ---- Judith ‘Judy’ Ann Staubitz, 72, of Gould Avenue, was called home after a period of declining health, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord.
Judy was born on February 17, 1952, in Littleton and attended school in Meredith.
She was a true entrepreneur, always creating value with the dedication and passion to creatively develop ideas. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating and home cooking and was known for her famous chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
She enjoyed time spent entertaining family and friends and always created a memorable holiday with her family. She loved her church, New York cheesecake, and a fresh pot of coffee.
She is survived by her children, Michael Bertholet, Michelle Gilman and her husband, Art, and Travis Staubitz; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Mable Knight, Jo Klinghammer, Penny Ridener and her husband, Larry, and Paulee LaBranch; and many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard ‘Richie’ Staubitz; a son, Richard Jr. “Bam”; her parents, John and Mae Hughes; her biological father, Edward Beaton; a brother, John Hughes Jr.; and sisters, Judy Fay Armstrong and Margaret Hurd.
A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Village Cemetery, Route 3, Meredith, NH 03253.
A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at the Laconia Rod and Gun Club, 358 S. Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorial donations in Judy’s name be made to the Granite VNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant St., Concord NH 03301.
