Anthony James “Tony” Previte, a longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly April 29, 2024. He was 80 years old.
Tony was born January 4, 1944, in Boston’s West End to Louise [Fabiano] and Dominic Previte. He spent his early years in the North End, moving with his family to Charlestown while in elementary school. Tony was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1963. He was a 40-year employee of Verizon, retiring in 2005.
Tony is the beloved son of the late Louise Fabiano Previte. He is the devoted brother to Joseph Previte and his wife Michelle of Lexington, Mass., and the late Joann Previte of Charlestown, Mass. Tony is the adored uncle to Mia Previte of Lexington, Mass. He is also survived by a number of cousins and their families.
Tony was an avid science fiction fan, a car buff and lover of all types of animals,
especially his cat TC and his dog Duffy. He always enjoyed talking with his neighbors on Allston Street.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tony's Funeral Service on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12 Noon in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by his burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
