William T. Gorman of Bellingham, passed away on April 24th after a long battle with Myelofibrosis and lung cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Gorman, their two daughters and their partners, Kellie Gorman and Cristina Riley-Lazo, and Paula Gorman and Rich Taylor, his sisters Kathy Prosser and Anne McCarthy and their families, and his brother-in-law James Puri, his sons, and their families.
He was born in 1944 to parents James and Mary (MacDonald) Gorman. He went to school in Framingham, MA and served in the US Army as a mechanic in Texas during the Vietnam war.
He married his wife Patricia Gorman in 1970, and they raised their two daughters in Bellingham, living in the same house from 1974 until the present. He was known as Mr. Fix-it and he was foreman and mechanic for the truck garage at the Boston Globe for 37 years.
In retirement, he enjoyed fishing from his bass boat, taking trips with his wife and their good friends, going to car shows, and spending time with his daughters and their partners in the mountains.
