Maryanne (Walsh) Ward, 59 of Mashpee formerly of Wrentham passed away peacefully on April 25 after bravely battling Lung Cancer. She was the wife of Terrance “Terry” M. Ward for the past 36 years.
Born in Worcester, April 30, 1964, the daughter of the late Vincent and Ann (Pats) Walsh, Maryanne was raised in Shrewsbury and had lived in Wrentham for many years.
Maryanne had been a controller for Cricket Holdings, LLC.
She found joy in traveling, reading, and spending time at the beach and on the water. She cherished her dog, Cassie, and two cats, Maui and Coco.
Maryanne also had a deep love for Christmas, finding joy in the festive season’s traditions, decorations, and time spent with loved ones.
Maryanne will be fondly remembered for her friendly and caring way where she always sought to give of herself to make life better for those around her. Her beautiful smile and acts of kindness will be forever cherished.
In addition, to her husband she is survived by her children, Julianna J. Ward of Washington, D.C. and Terrance M. Ward. Jr. of Boston.
Maryanne was the sister of the late Susan Jakubowski and cared dearly for her sister’s children Jack and Jenny.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 3 at St. Mary’s Church in Wrentham at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Wrentham Centre Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 2 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 4-7 pm.
